The Fairmount Girls (Cincinnati)
Cincinnati’s The Fairmount Girls have been a Cincinnati Indie staple since the late ’90s, releasing its debut, 11 Minutes to Anywhere in early 2000. With singer/drummer Dana Hamblen and organist/singer Melissa Fairmount as the consistent core, the group has gone through an astonishing number of bandmates in its lifespan, each time emerging with a slightly tweaked sound, but retaining its incredibly catchy and colorful Pop heart. The band has played every MPMF so far, returning this year with new members and a bunch of new tunes.
