Honeyspiders is the new project formed after the demise of Banderas, a powerhouse Cincinnati Rock band that provided the highlights of several past MidPoint Music Festivals with their ferocious live shows. With Honeyspiders, singer Jeremy Harrison, his brother, guitarist Chris Harrison, and bassist Kevin Mcnair (plus a rotating cast of guests) still rock with intensity and swagger, but there’s a Psych Rock streak running through the music that manifests itself in the icy-cool melodies, hypnotic, sometimes droning grooves and trippy organ additives. The band recently offered a sneak peek of its recording efforts, “Sweet,” which will be part of a forthcoming free digital single release from Honeyspiders.
