SOHIO (Seven Mile, Ohio)
Though they call the small town of Seven Mile home, eclectic Rock five-piece Sohio are part of the Greater Cincinnati music scene, churning out a multi-hued brand of Rock that slips in and out of moods and feels from nearly every song to the next. With last year’s Sonuminous, the band does come off as more cohesive, despite the mood swings from anthemic Arena AltRock, quirkier Indie Pop or more grounded Roots Rock. The band’s stamp is in the consistent hooks, a melodic consistency that defies genre-fication.

"It’s a rare band that can direct traffic at the intersection of Americana, Rock both rootsy and garagey, Blues, Punk, Pop and Country without having an eight-genre pile-up. SOHIO is that rare band, deftly balancing the noise that rattles rafters and the subtlety that breaks hearts. " - Brian Baker, CityBeat
